goodbye november

photographers unknown

This morning I woke up to a partially opened window, an uninterrupted blue sky, unlimited sun, and a nice cold breeze coming through. I watched the first few minutes of my day unfold underneath my blankets. To me, there is nothing like it in comparison. I reached to play some William Fitzsimmons, and it made everything perfect.

Had some peach yogurt and pistachios for breakfast, and now I'm off to drop off some film and see what I can find at Hobby Lobby. All things I should not be doing the day before a test. Oh, my stomach is churning already. I did get one chapter read though, last night.

All I want is to take lovely food pictures like this. Right now, at least. Getting slightly tired of my gritty D40. Time to upgrade probably. One day, one day.

oh god

So much beautiful in one picture. I love Lacoste so much.

Woke up around noon. I planned on getting up a little earlier to drop off a few rolls of film, but obviously sleep took priority. I slept last night with my window open, and to my disgust, it felt like summer outside. It's almost December. I deem this highly inappropriate. I went to fix myself some froyo and blueberries (with some grapes, too!) and caught up with last night's Dexter. I only have one reaction.

Gave these a try and they're great. With hummus, of course. (Sabra hummus, of course.)

For dinner, my dad made some angel-hair clam pasta. Which was delicious.

Of course, each day ends with a boatload of coursework. I have these five chapters to read before my test on Wednesday. Slightly nervous. I may or may not be nonexistant from the internet for a little bit until finals blow over. I need to remember what the feeling of getting a lot of work done in one sitting feels like.

I have a few ideas up my sleeve.

Cheers!
xx

we'll see

I don't think I'll ever get over my obsession with [white] bed sheets. It was so grey outside today. I definitely scrambled to take these pictures cause I was losing light fast.

The rest of my day was pretty solid. Went to church (blegh), and then picked up some pita chips, blueberries, and vegetarian chicken at the grocery store. I haven't tried this new brand of pita chips before or had Morningstar vegetarian chicken before so I'll be sure to report back.

I don't know. I felt skinny or something.

morning sentiments

Sometimes the morning is the loneliest part of the day. I wake up in my parents' home and it's all their mess. And in some odd, obscure way, that seems like one big metaphor for my life. But isn't that almost everyone's deal? Born into their parents' messes until we can all make our way out of it? I know it's what I'm doing. I can't wait until I wake up in the morning and it's into my own clean mess. I know it won't feel so lonely.

starting a new thing

I'm annoyed with Tumblr at the moment. So I made this. Dumb excuse but I've been meaning to actually blog somewhere for a while. I've got a killer headache (heh, hence vasodilation) probably from the root beer I just had a few sips of - a rush of sugar to the head - but I've also got a killer braid on my head.

Excuse my inability to take pictures of myself. I apparently can't use my digital properly anymore. Too irritable to try again anyway. My bangs are growing out and they're past the awkward phase where I have to decide if I want to trim them or not. I've been too preoccupied with school to trim them, so they're a'growin. Easier to braid anyway.

Cardigans, oh cardigans. I wore the green one today and took photos of Frances. Afterwards, we got coffee and tried at all costs to avoid people that we know.

Last night while listening to Last.fm, I discovered William Fitzsimmons. Today I downloaded his first album, Until When We Are Ghosts, and I'm just so in love I was on the verge of tears with the first listen through. But my headache is so bad I can't even tolerate music right now. I guess I've just been eating so healthily lately that the root beer just completely messed with my blood glucose levels. Oh and I didn't even get to work out tonight. Bummer.

Hopefully I can finally stick to this thing and not bounce around like the fleeting, fickle gemini that I am.
